Dani Prisacariu is a coach, facilitation, and collaboration practitioner focused on participatory capacity building for social change. Much of their work so far has been in LGBTQI+ and feminist activism in Romania and internationally, and in community organizing for social justice. For the past five years, they have coordinated Gender Talk, a Romanian community initiative of gender explorers and rebels that works to create more space and possibilities for us all to exist and thrive outside the gender binary.
Ceza Bularca: I study anthropology and sociology, currently researching theoretically and applied decoloniality in an Eastern European, post-socialist context. I often experiment with mediums such as performance art, creative writing, and illustration, in order to penetrate the intimate sphere, trusting that this act has the potential to become as political as possible. I take a radical approach to art. I see art as an opportunity to attack hegemony and transform nature, humans, society, and culture. I want to be as present as possible in the local queer community, receiving and offering support, empathy, and care. For the last year, I have been active in the movement to fight for the right to housing.
Iris Horomnea: Even though I was asked to describe myself in just 100 words, I find it hard to muster up even this many. Probably because I have yet to become – someone, at all. So far, my brief intersections with various artistic mediums offered me that to an extent, which I’m grateful for, and hopefully, I’ll be given the chance to build upon that in the years to come: visually, musically, performatively. I might still find a way to bloom.
